Without utilising the “bat” symbol, Sunni Ittehad Council leader Hamid Raza Khan and MWM chief Allama Nasir Abbas commended PTI for its election victory. It was highlighted by both leaders that their partnership with PTI was ‘unconditional.’
Speaking during the function, Omar Ayub Khan clarified that the goal of joining the Sunni Ittehad Council was to get reserved seats, which are usually given to political parties. He also cited the disclosures made by former Rawalpindi commissioner Liaquat Chatha, who said that manipulation had been planned to thwart the PTI’s chances of winning. During the 2024 elections, Ayub further charged Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan with “stealing” PTI seats in Hyderabad and Karachi.
